Editing your notes

Written by Aviva Glassman

Editing the notes that Upheal generates

Once Upheal creates your session notes, you can type freely in the notes to make changes. Your changes are saved automatically. For AI-powered, complex edits, try Smart edit.

Changing text format

To change the format of the text in your notes, highlight the text, then select the option you want. You can make text into a main header, subheader, bullet points, bold, or italic.

Adding text from the transcript

You can add text from your transcript directly to your notes.

  1. In your notes, click where you want the new text to go.

  2. Go to the Transcript tab.

  3. Highlight the text you want to include in your notes, and click Add to notes. The highlighted text will appear where you last clicked in your notes.

Adding topics

You can add text from the Topics section of the section overview directly to your notes.

  1. In your notes, click where you want the new text to go.

  2. Go to the Overview tab (to the left of the note).

  3. Hover over the topic you want to add to your notes, and click the plus icon on the left. The item will appear where you last clicked in your notes.

Reordering items

To move a block of text in your notes, hover over the section you want to move, and click and drag it by the six-dot icon.

Writing private notes

If you want to write your own notes outside of the notes that Upheal generates, click the Add note tab at the top of the progress note. In the Search templates bar, type "private notes", then select Private notes.

This will give you a blank note-taking space. You can work in your private notes any time, including during a session. Add text from your transcript as well as topics to your private notes the same way you add content to the notes that Upheal creates.
