If you're wondering what using Upheal is like for a client, you're in the right place.

Your clients' experience with Upheal depends on how you use it. If you hold your sessions with Upheal's telehealth platform, your clients will see and interact with Upheal. However, if you hold your sessions in person, or use one of our methods for capturing calls from other platforms, your clients might never see Upheal themselves — their sessions won't change at all.

Clients don't need to sign up for Upheal or create any accounts, but they do need to agree with our standard legal documentation and consent forms before you can use any of Upheal's AI-powered features with them.

When you create a client profile in Upheal, you have the option to send an email inviting the client to agree to these documents. (Alternatively, you can collect consent later or outside of Upheal.) They'll receive a link that leads them here:

Clients need to agree to your practice's Privacy Policy and Upheal's Terms of Service. As for the third box, de-identified data collection helps us improve Upheal for healing professionals worldwide, but it's not required for clients.

Once the client clicks Agree and continue, they'll see this confirmation:

When your client joins a session, they'll start by entering their email address.

Then, they'll have the opportunity to adjust their settings and enter their display name before joining your waiting room. Once they click Ask to join, you'll see them in your waiting room.

From there, participating in an Upheal session is a lot like using any other video calling platform. Clients can start and stop their video and microphone, share their screen, change the layout, and type messages to you.

Once the session is over, clients have the opportunity to rate the technical quality of the call.
