If your therapist is planning to hold your sessions with Upheal’s video calling platform, you’re in the right place. If you attend sessions in person, on Zoom, or on a different calling platform, you can skip this page. You’ll keep attending your sessions as usual.
You don’t need to create an account to use Upheal as a client. To join a session, just click the link your therapist sends you, or join from the Client Portal.
If you haven’t already agreed to Upheal’s Terms of Service, you might see a request to do so. If you’re curious about our policies, check out this page about agreements between Upheal and clients.
Joining from a link
To join an Upheal telehealth session from a link:
Click on the link in your email.
Depending on the type of link you’ve received, you might need to enter your email address. Then click Agree and continue to confirm you have read and understood Upheal's Terms of Service, are 16 years old or over, or have parental consent.
Then, you’ll need to give Upheal permission to access your microphone and camera. Click Prepare access.
Click Allow.
Now, you’re in the waiting room for your session! Adjust your settings as needed, enter your name, and click Ask to join when you're ready.
Your session will begin when your therapist joins.
Joining from the Client Portal
Joining an Upheal telehealth session from the Client Portal mobile app
To join an Upheal telehealth session from the Client Portal mobile app:
A few minutes before your appointment, open the Client Portal app.
Click the Sessions tab at the bottom of the screen.
Click Join now.
Next, you'll allow Upheal to access your camera and microphone. Click Allow microphone.
When Upheal asks for access, click Allow.
Repeat these steps to allow camera access. Click Allow camera.
When Upheal asks for access, click Allow.
When you're ready, click Ask to join.
Your session will begin when your therapist joins.
Joining an Upheal telehealth session from the Client Portal on desktop
To join an Upheal telehealth session from the Client Portal on desktop:
A few minutes before your appointment, open the Client Portal on desktop using a link from your therapist.
Click the Sessions tab on the left.
Click Join now.
Enter your email address. Then click Agree and continue to confirm you have read and understood Upheal's Terms of Service, are 16 years old or over, or have parental consent.
Then, you’ll need to give Upheal permission to access your microphone and camera. Click Prepare access.
Click Allow.
