What languages does Upheal support?

You can hold sessions in 8 languages:

  • English

  • Spanish

  • Portuguese

  • German

  • French

  • Italian

  • Mandarin

  • Hindi

You can get notes in these languages:

  • English

  • Spanish

  • Portuguese

  • German

  • French

  • Italian

How do I hold a session in a language besides English?

You don't have to do anything different at all! Hold your call or capture your session as usual, and Upheal automatically detects the language you're speaking.

You can hold sessions in various languages using any of our session capture methods.

Please note that for dictated and written observations, you can type observations in any of our supported languages, but verbal dictation is currently only supported in English.

How do I choose what language to get my notes in?

Note language settings apply to your whole practice. To set your note language:

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. In Practice settings, scroll down to Note language.

  3. Choose your language, and click Save.

Now, new notes will be generated in your chosen language.

Can I switch languages during a session?

Not yet. Currently, Upheal only supports speaking a single language during a session. If you switch languages partway through a session, the second language won't be transcribed correctly and therefore what you say might not be reflected in your notes. We plan to develop in-session multilingual support in the future!
