You can keep and store the audio recordings from your sessions for additional therapeutic or supervisory review.

Note: Upheal does not keep any recordings automatically due to privacy reasons. Recording storage must be initiated by the provider and approved by the client.

Consent

Before keeping a recording, you'll need to check that it's okay with your client. This is part of the consent agreement we provide between your practice and clients (US version here), which says:

Upon notifying you, we as your provider may store your audio and video recordings in Upheal or elsewhere for further analysis to enhance your individual care. Upon your request, we will delete recordings immediately.

Adhering to these guidelines can help maintain transparency and trust with your clients, ensuring a safe and supportive environment on the Upheal platform. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Saving a recording

How to save a session audio recording depends on how you capture your session:

Telehealth, in-person, and virtual sessions

To save audio from a telehealth, in-person, or virtual session, toggle ON Save audio to listen later when you end the session.

In-person and virtual sessions captured in your browser

With our in-person and virtual session capture, you can save the audio via session settings (as well as after the session, as shown above).

Listening to a recording

If you kept the audio from a session and want to listen to it, you'll find the recording at the top of that session's page. To listen, press the play button.
