About the role:

As a Senior/Staff Product Designer at Upheal, you will focus on delivering end-to-end solutions that align with our goal of becoming the go-to, one-stop-shop platform for mental health professionals.

We’re looking for a product designer who thrives in a fast-paced, fast-growing startup. Someone who can think deeply about the product and the market and translate problems into polished solutions that make an impact.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys the product management aspect of product design as much as finessing design details, has a great sense of what makes an exceptional product, has strong visual skills, and can move fast.

Your responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end design process, from concept to delivery.
• Conduct continuous product discovery, including interviews, usability testing, surveys, and everything in between.
• Cultivate a deep empathy for users and a strong understanding of their needs.
• Shape product ideas and influence the roadmap and strategy.
• Drive the design of key product initiatives alongside AI, engineering, and product/marketing teams.
• Explore and create novel AI interactions, setting the standard in the mental health space.
• Contribute to our design system and visual language.
• Champion well-crafted, exceptional design.

About you:

• Several years of experience as a product designer at the Senior, Staff, or Lead level.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality designs from start to finish, evidenced by a strong portfolio.
• Strong UX research skills and the ability to translate insights into intuitive designs.
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment with shifting priorities and a high shipping velocity.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams and time zones.
• A product builder at heart, with experience in the 0 → 1 stage of product development.
• Deep interest in new technology, with opinions on AI and how it shapes human-computer interactions.
• A self-starter with a natural sense of ownership and a bias for action.
